The 30th American Peptide Symposium convenes at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, a Back Bay landmark and the largest hotel in the city. A 2024 top-to-bottom renovation refreshed its more than 1,200 guest rooms and 70,000 square feet of meeting space while keeping what has always made it a natural home for large scientific gatherings: room to think, room to gather, and a location in the middle of everything.
The hotel connects indoors to the Prudential Center, Copley Place, and the Hynes Convention Center, so a week of sessions, meals, and conversation rarely requires stepping outside — while Newbury Street, the Charles River Esplanade, and Fenway Park sit just beyond the door.
Back Bay is one of the most reachable corners of the city — by air, rail, or the T.

Roughly four miles and 15–20 minutes by taxi or rideshare. The Logan Express bus runs to Back Bay near the hotel, and the MBTA subway (the “T”) connects the airport to Back Bay via the Blue and Green Lines.
Amtrak’s Back Bay Station is about a ten-minute walk. South Station, served by Amtrak and the Red Line, connects to Back Bay via the Green Line.
The Green Line stops at Prudential and Hynes Convention Center stations, both within a short walk of the hotel.
Renovated rooms, generous meeting space, and one of the city’s largest indoor pools.
Renovated guest rooms include sit-to-stand desks and views over Back Bay or the Charles River. On-site amenities include one of Boston’s largest indoor lap pools, with a seasonal retractable roof, an expansive 24-hour fitness center, a full-service spa, and on-site dining and a bar.

A symposium in the middle of everything.
Back Bay puts the symposium within an easy walk of some of Boston’s best-known places. Newbury Street offers eight blocks of shops, galleries, and cafés. Copley Square anchors the McKim building of the Boston Public Library and Trinity Church. Symphony Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts are minutes away, as is Fenway Park, where the Red Sox play through the summer. For open air, the Charles River Esplanade and the Public Garden are short walks in either direction.

Late June in Boston is warm and bright, with long daylight stretching past eight in the evening — ideal for exploring after the day’s sessions.
A discounted block of rooms will be available to symposium attendees. Booking details and the group rate will be posted here as the date approaches.
